mums and parents and family ramblings..

hey there if you are reading this! thanks so much for reading, as always, last weeks cpomments were really touching- thank you :')

this part isn't over of course..it's a bit boring this week but hopefully next week will be more interesting, based on what blake's mum has to say.

this scene (this weeks and next weeks) was kinda hard and interesting to write- I personally feel your family has everything to do with how you behave toward others and esp.in relationships- but also how you can change as a person around your family.

I guess i wanted to tery and convey a certain relatioship with these two- i want blake to find it difficult to speak to his mum about personal stuff...to slowly open up as support is offered to him...

to be ashamed to tell her that he can be a git- for his mum to be kind of wise to his antics, but also supportive.

to show a delicate and certain side of blake that reflects his dependancy on her, whilst also being someone who is gorwing up and becoming self-sufficiant- a reluctany there. an awkwardness as blake's mother is half a person talking to an adult, and half a parent to her baby.

i hope the next update will be interesting to ppl and maybe shed some insight onto why blake is the sort of character he is...uh yeah1 sorry i can't write very well! ='D
sorry to ramble!!

Replingmto lovely people

@Reiu Shanra yes, yes it does :'C at least we have a bit more freedom though! Xoxo

@Earthfield indeed, I'm not sure we really ever stop growing, at least, as adults, we never seem to stop changing as we gain more experiences :) x

@G.H.S.T ahhh yes I agree, family interactions are so great!! I'm so glad you enjoyed this bit and found it interesting ;u; thank youuuu!!!!

@Cruz_n_Angel thank you fir always commenting and always reading and alwayshaving super cute comments!, ;n; Yes!! I'm glad you have picked up on that, essentially this whole story is about the narrative journey of an identity crisis! Yes, I imagine he is wearing that shirt to be terribly ironic ;) thank you so much!!

@Kiela thank you so much, I really try hard to do expressionful drawings so thank you :'I!!! <3

@duckydame oh gosh, thanking you, I really hope the good layouts and expressions can improve with each update!!!! D,x

@December ah man, you have no idea how much it meant to read this, I really worked hardmon trying to develop her to look the right age... Middle age is a tough one to draw as it's am pretty good medium as opposed to super young and super old D'x I'm not so sure it was pulled off as well this week but i'm really glad you thought so ;n;

@jello-bomb th-thank you so much!!! ;n;

@Karyl Happy Holidays to you!! And a happy new year!! I hope you have a good one :))

Knowing is half the battle, if he is capable of acknowledging that, he probably can grow out of it.

Heh, funny word, grow, when they're essentially adults.

I think that the feelings you wanted to portray here, you pulled off magnificently! :) I find these pages very interesting, and I'm a sucker for family interactions! I look forward to seeing how their conversation plays out for Blake :D He's such a cutie muffling over his words, slowly trying to talk about what happened while still being guarded.

I haven't posted in a while but I always get super excited when this comic updates! I'm really starting to feel kind of bad for Blake it's like he's having a real identity crisis here. I really hope it works out for him so he can have healthier relationships. Sidenote, is he wearing a shirt that says 'ordinary' to be ironic ?

I just wanted to say that I really like the way you draw teh ladies. Like even from the beginning but really with his momz like, those expressions are just done so well that they make me feel what they're feeling. It's great.

Aside from loving the story, I want to specifically complement your skill in depicting age. And that coupled with family resemblance, too!

Especially for a comic that for so many pages depicted exclusively people of a narrow and young age group, it wouldn't be surprising if the people outside that age group looked little different. I've seen that happen before...

But not here! His mom looks so naturally middle-aged, while still having all the facial and bodily expressiveness of the other characters, and looking like a real relative of Blake's too! Same for the sis :) Kudos!
